Doctors, nurses and clinical officers can use the site free of charge.

What you get

Open information

All guides, price ranges and hospital details, with no login.

Hospital checks

Each verified hospital page shows its accreditation and the date we checked it. This helps a doctor meet Rule 5 of the Referral of Patients Abroad Rules 2017.

Referral form

Send a case to up to 3 hospitals, with the patient's consent. You get a status link for the referral.

Referral checklist

The documents that Rule 6 asks for: the Schedule form, a medical report, a letter from the receiving hospital, a no-objection letter from the Director of Medical Services and proof of funding.

After-care handover

When the patient returns, the patient can share the discharge summary with you.

Who makes the formal referral

Under Rule 4, only a licensed specialist can make a formal referral abroad. Nurses and clinical officers can start a request and help the patient. The specialist writes the formal referral.

No payment either way. We never pay clinicians for referrals. Clinicians never pay us. This keeps you clear of the bans on referral for gain in the KMPDC rules.

Referral checklist (Rule 6)

  • The referral form in the Schedule to the Rules
  • A medical report on the patient
  • A letter from the receiving facility
  • A no-objection letter from the Director of Medical Services
  • Proof of funding
