Before you leave India
- Get a written discharge summary.
- Get a list of your medicines, with the doses.
- Ask which medicines you can buy in Kenya.
- Ask for the date of your next check.
- Ask how to contact the hospital doctor after you go home.
When you are home
- See your doctor in Kenya within the time that the hospital advises.
- Give your doctor the discharge summary.
- Keep all your reports in one folder.
When to get help fast
Go to the nearest hospital if you have a high fever, severe pain, bleeding, breathing problems or new swelling. Then tell the hospital in India.
For referring doctors
The patient can share the discharge summary with you. Ask the patient to bring it to the first visit.
