  • Never pay an agent to "speed up" a visa.
  • In 2024, news reports said Nairobi agents charged up to KSh 200,000 for a visa that costs much less.

Regular medical visa

You can also apply for a regular medical visa through the High Commission in Nairobi. One source reports KSh 8,300 for six months or KSh 12,400 for one year, plus KSh 200. Check the current fee with the High Commission.

  1. Get the hospital letter.
  2. Check that your passport is valid for at least six months.
