Food

  • Ask the hospital what food the patient can eat during treatment.
  • Many hospitals have a canteen. Ask if it has food for your diet.
  • Drink bottled or boiled water.

Language

Hospitals that treat foreign patients usually have staff who speak English. Ask the hospital if it gives an interpreter free of charge.

Be careful with private translators. Some add 30% to 40% to the cost of treatment.

Daily life

  • Keep a copy of the hospital address and the international desk phone number.
  • Plan rest days for the attendant too.
  • Keep a list of every payment you make.

Sources

  • Ask the hospital dietitian about food during your treatment.
